Blackberry Apps 2.0 for SpotLite and SpotLight GPS Pet Locator
Securus has been in the forefront of the GPS Safety and Security market for a while now. Specializing in creating GPS-enabled solutions for a variety of markets and applications, Securus recently teamed up with the American Kennel Club Companion Animal Recovery (AKC CAR). In a bid to provide the best pet recovery products available today, Securus offers two GPS Pet Locators – the SpotLight and its budget version, SpotLite.
Both these devices are sturdy, lightweight, water-resistant pet locators that fit on your dog’s existing collar. Using the same GPS technology found in automobiles and cell phones today, SpotLight and SpotLite are able to track down your pet in real time. Once these
dog finder devices has been activated, you can program certain safe spots or zones within which your pet can roam freely. This could include your home, the neighborhood and even the local park. If your dog happens to stray out of these safe spots you will be notified by a message alert via text or email. Such options offer a greater peace of mind to pet owners allowing them to relax knowing that they can take the necessary measures to locate and retrieve their missing dog at the earliest. Using either SpotLight or
SpotLite GPS Pet Locators, you can also track your dog online. You can receive a weekly log of his movements as well. As a partner with AKC CAR, both SpotLight and SpotLite offer a round the clock help line and recovery services of trained professionals.
As part of their investment in providing state of the art technology to their customers, Securus has recently announced the availability of their already popular mobile application for
BlackBerry Version 2.0. This new application seamlessly integrates the tracking and location information provided by the SpotLight devices to the uniform interface of a customer’s smartphone. The new version provides some added functionality as per client feedback. Owners with both SpotLight and SpotLite devices can now track their pets on one interface. The new application still offers updates of your pet’s location in real time. This time around, Securus has added a Tracking Mode whereby you can receive turn-by-turn directions if your dog is on the run. Version 2.0 also allows you to remotely turn the LED beacon on or off on SpotLight. You can now manage the product’s battery life and monitor all alerts through your BlackBerry.
The BlackBerry application for SpotLight & SpotLite helps reduce any anxiety when separated from your pet and basically provides access to all the features of the website without the need for a computer. The SpotLight GPS Pet Locator mobile applications for the BlackBerry are available for a free download at
